Growing up, we had a screen about a foot tall with four panels that sat by our telephone with 100 children hand painted in watercolors by my grandmother (my mother's mother). It got ruined, but recently, my mom was able to get another one from one of her cousins. The pictures above are of these exquisitely detailed characters --each one is about an inch tall.
I love having this artistic connection with my grandmother.

ReplyDeleteWow your grandmother is really talented. I’m sure she must be really happy that you inherited her artistic genes. Does your mom make art too?
